19th Ward Taking Requests For Pot Hole, Street Light Repair
Got a bad pothole or a streetlight out on your block? The 19th Ward office is taking repair requests.
CHICAGO — Those potholes and streetlight outages aren't going to fix themselves. Tire-shredding, tierod-breaking potholes are springing up all over local streets and roads. If you've noticed a bad pothole or a streetlight out on your block, report them to the 19th Ward office or 3-1-1 immediately.
When reporting, please be as specific as possible, giving an approximate or exact address. Requests cannot be processed using only an intersection.
If you are reporting a streetlight out, please let the 19th Ward staff know if it is a single light outage or the entire block. Indicate whether the light is on the street or in an alley. If the pothole is near a sewer, please include that information. Finally, let 19th Ward staff know if the hole is in the traffic or parking lane.
"With your help, we can have these issues addressed as quickly as possible. If you'd like to report a street or alley light out, or request a pothole be repaired," Ald. Matt O'Shea said in an email to residents. "We will submit the request for you."
