2 MPA Students Named National Merit Finalists

CHICAGO, IL - Two seniors at Morgan Park Academy have been named 2018 National Merit finalists. Katarina Stanley, of Crown Point, Indiana and David Valentine, of Evergreen Park, both scored in the top 1 percent of the 1.6 million students nationwide who took the Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test last year, according to a news release from the school.

Two other MPA seniors, Theo Covello of Munster, Indiana and Abigail Herman of the city's Mount Greenwood neighborhood, have received National Merit Commendation after placing in the top 3 percent of PSAT/NMSQT scorers nationwide.
