2023 Football Schedule Released For Brother Rice

CHICAGO — With a little less than four weeks until the first high school football practices begin in Illinois on Aug. 7, the countdown to the fall season is officially underway. A nine-game regular season runs through the end of October, before the postseason culminates with state championship games scheduled for the weekend of Nov. 24-25 at Illinois State University.

The Illinois High School Association, in partnership with Max Preps, recently announced schedules for the varsity teams. South Side fans will especially be keeping tabs on the local team at Brother Rice High School.

This fall, the Crusaders will be joined in the Chicago Catholic League-Blue by Marist (Chicago), St. Rita (Chicago), Chicago Mt. Carmel and Loyola Academy (Wilmette).

Locally, the regular season begins on the road, when the Brother Rice faces Maine South (Park Ridge), Friday, Aug. 25. Kickoff is at 7:30 p.m.
