All Faiths Invited To Dial Up Archdiocese's 'A Call To Prayer'
Archdiocese of Chicago creates 'A Call To Prayer' phone service for those who feel the need to pray with others in uncertain time.
CHICAGO — People of all faiths looking for spiritual comfort during this uncertain and isolated time are encouraged to call A Call To Prayer, a new phone service launched by the Archdiocese of Chicago. The phone service is available to anyone who feeling the need to pray with others.
A Call To Prayer was launched by a group of parishioners. Callers will be connected volunteer parishioners who will pray with them, regardless of their faith identity. The service is available from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. daily. Along with the prayer service phone line, A Call to Prayer also offers voicemail, e-mail, and multilingual options, including Spanish and Polish.
“Before he died for us, Jesus prayed ‘may they all be one’,” Cardinal Blase Cupich said in a news release. “As people unite in this Call to Prayer, may they be consoled in knowing that it is the Lord Himself who is connecting them to one another.”

Callers will be hooked up with volunteer parishioners across the archdiocese, which encompasses Cook and Lake Counties. Along with the prayer service phone line, A Call to Prayer also offers voicemail, e-mail, and multilingual options, including Spanish and Polish.
