Prosecutors said that Profit, a transgender prostitute, hit Ald. David Moore (17th) four times in the arm after opening his car door around 3:30 a.m. Sunday, the Chicago Tribune reported.

Moore said he was driving home when he saw the two alleged sex workers near 73rd and May. According to prosecutors, Moore identified himself as an alderman and even showed them his aldermanic credentials and ordered them to leave the area.

An altercation between the alderman, Profit, and two other people ended with Profit opening the alderman’s car door while he was on a 911 call and allegedly punching Moore in the forearm four times.

The three fled and and Moore, who knew Profit from prior occasions, recognized Profit at a gas station at 76th and Halsted Streets and summoned police, the Tribune said.

Profit was ordered by the judge to stay away from the alderman while the case is pending.
