Armed Robberies Prompt Warning

Morgan Park 22nd District police are warning residents to remain vigilant after two recent street robberies.

According to the alert, the first robbery happened in an alley in the 1700 block of West Monterey. The second robbery happened at a bus stop in the 11100 block of South Vincennes.

The robber was described as an African-American male in his late teens with a medium build. He was described as wearing a dark blue or black hooded sweatshirt and dark jeans.

Police said he was armed with a handgun. The alert did not mention the date or times of the alleged robberies.
