Author, Poet, Quilter's Trunk Owner In 'Frunchroom' Lineup
Five speakers will tell their South Side stories Thursday night at the Beverly Arts Center.

CHICAGO - "The Frunchroom," a quarterly live storytelling series of, by and about the South Side, returns this week with a lineup of speakers with strong local connections. Here's who is on tap to speak beginning at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 17 at the Beverly Arts Center, 2407 W. 111th St.
- Author Dennis Foley (The Blue Circus)
- Poet Angela Jackson (Dark Legs and Silk Kisses, All These Roads Be Luminous)
- Psychologist and former Cook County Jail warden Nneka Jones Tapia
- Photographer and Musician Preston Thomas
- Lisa Wilberding, co-owner of The Quilter’s Trunk
A $5 donation to benefit the Beverly Area Arts Alliance is requested for entry. Anyone who brings a meal receipt from Ellie’s Cafe, 10701 S. Hale Ave. for that evening can show it at the door in lieu of a donation.
