CHICAGO — The Beverly Arts Center, 2407 W. 111th St., is hosting a free screening of the inspiring football documentary, “Faith, Hope and Courage,” at 7 p.m. Thursday, March 3. Registration is required for the screening.

The film features Mike Martin, co-owner of Live and Believe Nutrition, and a former wide receiver for the Cincinnati Bengals. Martin was hosting a Sunday evening talk show in Cincinnati when he received a phone call from the principal at Taft High School asking him to take the job of head football coach. That was 2001. The year before, the school's football program had been cancelled, and student morale was at an all-time low.

"Faith, Hope and Courage" is the story of how Martin turned around the Taft Senators and the young men who played on the team. The film was made by WCPO-TV, Cincinnati, and earned a 2003 Regional Edward R. Murrow Award from the Radio-Television News Directors Association in the category of news documentary.
