BAPA Awarded For Planting 100 Trees In Beverly/Morgan Park
The Beverly Area Planning Association was presented the Community Advocate Award from the Chicago Region Trees Initiative last week.

CHICAGO, IL -- The Beverly Area Planning Association was recognized last week for its work in planting trees throughout the Beverly/Morgan Park neighborhood. The local organization received the Outstanding Community Advocate Award from the Chicago Region Trees Initiative.
“We are thrilled that BAPA was nominated and honored that BAPA will receive this recognition from the Chicago Region Tree Initiative,” BAPA Executive Director Margot Holland said.
BAPA, namely Community Organizer Mary Jo Viero, has worked with Openlands to replace numerous trees lost to age and disease in the neighborhood over the past year. In that time, about 100 trees have been planted.
