BAPA Names New Executive Director
Susan Flood, a longtime community volunteer, will take on the top role at the Beverly Area Planning Association.

CHICAGO, IL - The Beverly Area Planning Association has named its next executive director. It's Susan Flood, a longtime community member and BAPA volunteer.
Flood was appointed to the position by the BAPA board of directors, the organization announced this week. She replaces Margot Burke Holland, who fulfilled a three-year commitment to be BAPA's executive director and who now moves to the organization's newly created program director position.
“I’m thrilled to have an opportunity to lead BAPA into the future, building on the dynamic and extremely successful formula of solid programs and talented staff,” said Flood, who served on BAPA's development committee for several years.

Her previous work with BAPA was through the Ridge Running 101 program, where she trained runners and the Beverly Hills Cycling Classic, of which she helped set up the course for the most popular summer event in Beverly/Morgan Park.
After returning to work, Flood held a leadership role with the Mercy Home for Boys and Girls, spearheading numerous successful programs such as the "Mercy Home Heroes" Chicago Marathon team. Locally, she has served on the Christ the King Family and School Association and began the parish's Moms and Tots group.
“I could not be more thrilled to welcome Susan Flood to BAPA as the new Executive Director,” BAPA Board President Maureen Gainer Reilly said. “BAPA will benefit from her years of experience and strong non-profit, event and fundraising background. The neighborhood is so fortunate to have yet another talented, dynamic executive director to ensure BAPA’s success.”
