CHICAGO (BEVERLY/MORGAN PARK) — Susan Flood is moving on from her role as executive director of the Beverly Area Planning Association and BAPA has already promoted its community organizer, Mary Jo Viero, to that position.

“It has been a real privilege to be able to give back to a community I love so much,” Flood said. “In the two years since I started, I’ve seen an increased awareness, respect and even excitement about BAPA’s role in the community... It has been an honor and a privilege to get to know and work with the BAPA board, staff, volunteers and members, and I look forward to continuing to partner in promoting this amazing neighborhood.”

Viero has been a longtime BAPA member and volunteer, joining the board of directors in 2015 and the staff a year later as community organizer.
