Beverly Hills Turkey Trot 2017 Results

CHICAGO, IL - The annual Beverly Hills Turkey Trot 5K race was held Saturday morning on the streets of North Beverly, as it is every year on the Saturday following Thanksgiving. In 2017, there were 565 participants. The top male and female finishers are listed below.

Notable results include Adolfo Diaz, who at 13 years old finished third overall with a time of 17 minutes, 32 seconds. Jake Christiansen, 28, won the race with a 16:38 time. Julian Davis, 20 was second with a 17:21 finish. Margaret Rivera, 33 won the women's race at 20:59.

Other notable local residents who crossed the finish line were former DNAinfo Chicago reporter Howard Ludwig at 24:55 and 19th Ward Ald. Matt O'Shea at 25:12. Participants ranged in age from 7 to 74 years old.

The race, which is always followed by a pancake breakfast at the Christ the King gymnasium, raises money for the John McNicholas Pediatric Brain Tumor Foundation. O'Shea's 19th Ward Foundation plays a key role in organizing the race every year.
