Blue Cap Seeks To Raise $20K On #GivingTuesday

A Blue Island-based organization that helps individuals with disabilities is an option for those looking to give back on Giving Tuesday.

BLUE ISLAND, IL - As the #GivingTuesday movement continues to gain momentum for non-profit organizations that do good nationwide, a local organization that helps adults and children with developmental disabilities has a lofty goal for 2017. The Blue Island-based Blue Cap And Friends Association has a goal to raise $20,000 on Tuesday, Nov. 28 alone.

This year, the Coleman Foundation will match donations in hopes of Blue Cap reaching its goal. All online donations made between $25-$99.99 that day will be matched with $25 and all donations $100 and above will be matched with $100.

You can donate to Blue Cap online here by just clicking the gold donate button on the right hand of the screen.

Jill Hart, director of community relations for Blue Cap, says all donations will go "directly to help us to enrich the lives of nearly 200 people of all ages with intellectual disabilities.” She asks those who have been impacted by Blue Cap to share their stories on the organization's Facebook page on Giving Tuesday.
