Brother Rice Senior Selected For IHSA All State Academic Team
Brother Rice's Jack Lausch was one of 26 chosen for this year's honor.

Each year, every IHSA member school is given the opportunity to submit one male and female student for consideration for the prestigious Illinois High School Association All-State Academic Team award.
The award honors students who have excelled academically, athletically, and exhibited “outstanding citizenship” throughout. Nominees are required to carry a minimum 3.50 grade point average after their 7th semester, along with participation in at least two IHSA sponsored sports or activities during each of the last two years.
The nominations were reviewed by a committee of IHSA principals and representatives from both the Illinois Activities & Athletics Directors Associations.

“It's pretty special,” Lausch said. “I’ve always prided myself on excelling both in school and in sports. My teachers and friends have always provided me with a great environment. Brother Rice is the best place to be.”
The Northwestern University football commit also helped lead the basketball team to a regional championship appearance and will play a crucial role in attempting to capture a state championship in his final baseball season with the Crusaders.
The Brother Rice community is very proud of Jack and all his accomplishments.
