Brother Rice Wins Share of Catholic League Blue Title, Will Face Naperville Central in 8A Playoffs
Crusaders defeat St. Rita, 28-21, and can now call themselves league champs for first time in a decade. Playoff pairings announced Saturday.
Brother Rice defeated St. Rita Friday night, 28-21, in yet another tough battle between the rival Catholic schools. And with the win comes a share of the Catholic League Blue title. It’s the first time the Crusaders (6-3, 3-1) have ended the season as league champion in a decade, sharing the title with the Providence Catholic Celtics.
No. 5 seed Brother Rice (6-3) will visit No. 4 seed Naperville Central (7-2) in the first round of the playoffs.
