Car Crashes Into Ashburn Day Care Center

CHICAGO, IL - A car drove into a day care facility Friday morning on Chicago's South Side.

The Chicago Fire Department tweeted a photo at 10 a.m. showing a small, four-door green vehicle crashed into a brick wall at the Teddy Bear Day Care at 3473 W. Columbus Dr. in the city's Ashburn neighborhood.

WGN reports an 18-month old child was hospitalized. 27 children were in the building at the time of the crash.

Extensive damage appeared to be sustained to the vehicle and the brick wall and building glass facing Columbus Drive.

Teddy Bear Day Care has six locations in Chicago and has been in existence since 1973, according to its website.
