Car Parade To 'Uplift Smith Village' Set For Saturday
The Beverly Area Planning Association is encouraging residents to decorate their cars and drive around the facility to show support.

CHICAGO — A parade of cars has been planned for this Saturday, April 18, as a way to "uplift Smith Village." The Beverly Area Planning Association has organized the event as a way to provide an uplifting message to the residents and employees at the Smith Village Senior Living Community at 113th and Western in Morgan Park, where 18 residents are battling the new coronavirus and five have died from the COVID-19 illness.
"Join us to show support for the seniors and staff at Smith Village," BAPA wrote in an event shared this week on Facebook. "Decorate your car with things you find around your home."
