Life Of Dan Davis To Be Celebrated Thursday At 115 Bourbon Street

CHICAGO—A celebration of life for Dan Davis, 59, will be held Thursday, March 26, at 115 Bourbon Street, 3359 W. 115th St., Merrionette Park. The memorial service will start at 6 p.m.

Dan went missing Thanksgiving week and appeared to be having medical issues when Ring cameras recorded him wandering Blue Island in a disoriented state. Volunteers turned out by the thousands to assist his daughter Wendy in a ground search. Dan’s story captured international attention. He was found March 9 in a secluded area on private property in Blue Island.

Due to the overwhelming support received from friends and family, there will be a capacity limit on this event. To those who knew Dan personally or contributed to his search efforts, attendees are asked to RSVP online. The celebration of life will be live-streamed, and Patch will include the link once arrangements have been made.

Dan was the long-time lighting director for Bourbon Street whose creativity was well known around Chicago’s music scene. Guests will be asked to show their invitation on their phone.

“We cannot thank you all enough for your kind words, support, and encouragement during these last few months,” Dan’s family said. “We know Dan would want us to laugh and have a good time in his honor, and that’s exactly what we intend to do. We’ll see you there.”
