Chicago Ag High School Honored At White House
Mt. Greenwood high school recognized for innovation and leadership in technical education at White House reception.

Chicago High School for the Agricultural Sciences was recognized with an Excellence in Action Award by the U.S. Department of Education Office of Career, Technical and Adult Education.
Principal William Hook accepted the award at a White House reception on June 230, highlighted by remarks from First Lady Michelle Obama as part of her “Reach Higher” initiative..
Students and educators were selected through a competitive process run by the Association for Career and Technical Education, as well as schools selected by the National Association of State Directors of Career and Technical Education.

The recipients represented a wide range of accomplishment in the field that is preparing students for success in school and beyond. Over the course of the day, the White House showcased student projects and led discussions with education leaders, business and industry representatives, and policy.
