Chicago Cops Questioning 3 Suspects in Mt. Greenwood 7-Eleven Robbery
Store merchandise and a weapon were recovered from suspects's vehicle after Tuesday evening's robbery, Ald. Matt O'Shea says.

CHICAGO, IL -- Chicago police quickly caught up with three suspects who allegedly knocked off a convenience store in Mt. Greenwood early Tuesday evening.
According to Ald. Matt O’Shea (19th), two men entered the 7-Eleven store at 10301 S. Sawyer Ave. in Mt. Greenwood around 7 p.m. After getting merchandise, the pair ran out of the store on foot.
Both suspects got into a vehicle where a getaway driver was waiting and fled. A call went out over the radio and within minutes, they were pulled over by 22nd District police, O’Shea said.

All three got out of the vehicle and ran away from police. After a short chase, officers took the suspects -- said to be males -- into custody.
“The employees were not injured,” the alderman said. “They’re being interviewed by detectives.”

Police reportedly found merchandise from the store in the vehicle, and a weapon. O’Shea did not know if a weapon was brandished or implied during the alleged robbery.
No charges have been filed.
