Chicago Fire Department Hosts South Side Recruitment Event

CHICAGO — Ald. Matt O’Shea (19th) and the Chicago Fire Department will host a South Side recruitment event for firefighter and EMT Wednesday, Oct. 12. Applications will be accepted from 3 to 6 p.m. in the music demonstration room at Chicago High School for Agricultural Sciences, 3857 W. 111th St.

CFD representatives will be available to answer any questions applicants may have. Applicants can also complete their applications on site during the event. To access the music demonstration room, please park in the school’s rear parking lot.

The Chicago Fire Department is currently accepting applications for firefighter/EMT now through Monday, October 17; to complete an application, please click here. Additional information about the exam and application process can be found by clicking here. The date and time of the written exam has not yet been finalized, but is anticipated to take place between Dec. 14 and Dec. 17.
