Chicago Magazine Highlights Beverly In Summer Issue

Chicago Magazine has picked a few neighborhoods places to see, shop and dine in its field guide to Beverly.

CHICAGO, IL - The unique aspects of Chicago's Beverly neighborhood are on display in a two-page feature in the current issue of Chicago Magazine. In a "field guide" by author Joel Reese, the magazine highlights several places to see, shop and eat & drink in the neighborhood.

The neighborhood was referred to in the June/July 2018 issue as an "urban anomaly," providing references to its integration, architecture and hills.

Covering all of pages 39 and 40 of the issue, there's a colorful map of the 15 places mentioned in the article.

Places to "see" include the Beverly Arts Center, Beverly Unitarian Church (The Castle), Dan Ryan Woods, H. Howard Hyde House and Ridge Historical Society.

Placed to "shop" are listed as Bookie's, Capsule, The Quilter's Trunk and Root Consignment Company.

Places to "eat & drink" on the magazine's map are Cork & Kerry, Horse Thief Hollow, Open Outcry Brewing Company, Original Rainbow Cone, Top Notch Beefburgers and Wild Blossom Meadery & Winery.

The article also notes that the Blue Island Ridge along Longwood Drive is the highest point in the city of Chicago.
