Christkindl Market Comes To Beverly
Olivia's Garden will host the neighborhood's first Christkindl Market this weekend.

CHICAGO, IL - A Christkindl Market is planned for this weekend at Olivia's Garden, 10730 S. Western Ave.
The first-of-its-kind market will feature dozens of vendors offering a variety of unique gifts, decorations, candy, bread, soaps, spices, artwork, books and food trucks, according to a news release from the Beverly Area Planning Association. BAPA is teaming up with Olivia's on both the Christkindl Market and the 2nd annual Cookie Crawl, which will be from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at 13 Western Avenue businesses.
The 250 families who have pre-ordered cookie tins will collect their treats from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 9. Caroling will take place from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the participating businesses that day and student dancers will perform a scene from "The Nutcracker" starting at 4:30 p.m. in the window at the Dance Gallery, 10628 S. Western.

The Christkindl Market will run on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. and Sunday, Dec. 10 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Children can visit Santa from 10 a.m. to noon and bring their own cameras for pictures. Maplewood Photography will also take photos for $15. The market will have a café style set-up and live music on Sunday.
