Circle The Date For First Southside Summerfest, Presented By Marist
The inaugural music festival will feature three amazing bands in one night on the Marist football field, July 23. Tickets on sale now.

CHICAGO – Get ready for the first Southside Summerfest presented by Marist High School, July 23, from 4 to 10 p.m. Advance tickets are now available. The inaugural music festival (age 21-plus) features three amazing bands, food and cocktails, all showcased on the Marist football field, 4200 W. 115th St., Chicago.
Southside SummerFest is expected to attract more than 2,000 music-lovers from the Chicago area and surrounding suburbs. From Motown and disco to pop music and classic rock, Southside SummerFest will feature music for every taste.
Open to ages 21 and above, this community event is unlike any other in the area, and will open the Marist campus to the entire community. Marist is home to 1600 students and with a roster of more than 20,000 alumni. Money raised at the Southside SummerFest will help to provide scholarships and facility improvements to Marist High School and its students.

“Marist sits on a beautiful piece of property, and with my past summer festival experience, I felt like it was the right time to create a new summer tradition on the south side of Chicago,” said Chicago Pastor, Fr. Tom Hurley in a news release. “It’s amazing what happens when you bring music and good people together, everyone has a great time.”
Tickets
Tickets for Southside SummerFest are now on sale. Advance tickets are available for a reduced rate at $25 and includes one drink ticket; advance ticket sales end Friday, July 22 at 11:55 p.m. Tickets also can be purchased for $30 at the door and includes one drink ticket. There will be an Early Bird Special for all attendees who arrive between 4 p.m. and 5 p.m.; they will receive an extra drink ticket at admission.

Please note: The show is designated for ages 21 and over; all tickets are non-refundable. Additionally, no outside food or beverages will be allowed; and chairs are not allowed on the football field, those wishing to sit on the lawn can bring blankets, otherwise seats are available in the stands. All seating is first-come, first-serve. Gates will open 45 minutes before the first performance.

Featured Bands
Southside SummerFest, presented by Marist features bands that will cover music from Motown to disco to pop music to classic rock. The three bands performing include Soul 2 The Bone, The Ron Burgundy’s, and Tributosaurus Becomes U2 and the Rolling Stones. Band bios are below.
Soul 2 The Bone specializes in music from the 1960's to today, covering five genres of music, including Motown, R & B, light rock, jazz, contemporary jazz, disco and pop music.
Local favorite, The Ron Burgundy’s, performs a variety of yacht and softcore rock from the 60s, 70s and 80s.
Tributosaurus Becomes U2 and the Rolling Stones - Tributosaurus will become two iconic, world-renowned bands - U2 and The Rolling Stones. Tributosaurus’s goal is to exactly recreate the sounds of the original recordings as closely as possible, whatever that may entail.
