City Cites Gas Station for Allegedly Selling Watered-Down Gas
City officials found four inches of water in Mt. Greenwood gas station's underground storage tanks, alderman claims.

A Mt. Greenwood gas station was cited after a resident complained to the alderman’s office that the business was selling customers watered down gas.
The Department of Business Affairs and Consumer Protection inspected the pumps at the Citgo Gas Station, located at 3700 W. 111th St., Ald. Matt O’Shea (19th) said.
At the time of the inspection, city inspectors discovered that the underground storage tanks contained over four inches of water. Six pumps which typically dispense regular, mid-grade and premium gas, were tagged and a citation was issued for each pump. The citations carry a fine between $50 to $2,000 per pump.
