Clinics Will Help 19th Ward Residents Save Money On Utility Bills
Residents of the 19th Ward have two chances in September to learn how to reduce their gas, electric and phone bills.

CHICAGO, IL - Residents of the city's 19th Ward will have two opportunities in September to learn some tips on how to reduce their utility bills. A news release from the Citizens Utility Board indicates bills could be reduced by as much as hundreds of dollars per year if residents follow the tips that will be offered at two free clinics hosted by Alderman Matt O'Shea and the 19th Ward Office.
The first one is coming up next week, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Beverly ward office at 10400 S. Western Ave. RSVP for your spot by calling CUB at 312-263-4282, ext. 11 or emailing events@citizensutilityboard.org with the subject line "Chicago 9/6."
The next clinic will be held on Monday, Sept. 24 from 6-8 p.m. at the same location. RSVP for this one the same way, except include "Chicago 9/24" in the subject line of the email.

The clinics will touch on how to spot unnecessary charges on natural gas, electric and phone bills; energy efficiency and other programs that could be used to save money and how to avoid scams from alternative electric and gas suppliers
Attendees should bring copies of their gas, electric and phone bills for a free one-on-one analysis with one of the utility board’s experts.
