Clissold Elementary School Plans Open House Feb. 1

Clissold Elementary School, 2350 W. 110th Pl., is hosting an open house, scheduled for 1 to 6 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 1.

Clissold is one of two Chicago Public Schools offering a Montessori and International Baccalaureate for elementary school students in grades K-8. The school is committed to providing the highest level of academic rigor, differentiation, intercultural awareness and the holistic teaching approach that is grounded in the Montessori and IB curriculum.

Students will have the opportunity to take responsibility for their love of learning and create an educational experience that motivates young scholars, prepared to positively impact the world.

  • Enrollment open to all students within the boundaries;
  • Montessori Program for K-5th grade;
  • International Baccalaureate Programme 6th-8th grade;
  • Technology incorporated into the curriculum;
  • PTA sponsored sports and events;
  • Computers, Art, Library, Spanish, Physical Education;
  • Clubs: Drama club, Glee club, Band, Clissold Chronicle, MYP Recycling club, and Student Advisory; and
  • After school arts program at The Beverly Arts Center.

Clissold’s attendance boundaries are 106th and 107th Streets to the north; south Longwood on the east; 115th and 119th on the south; and South Maplewood, California and Sacramento Avenues on the west.
