CHICAGO — Residents of the city's Mount Greenwood, Beverly and Morgan Park neighborhoods have another local option for where to bring their extra clothing. Both 19th Ward service offices will accept donations of gently used adult and children's clothing, jewelry and handbags as a way to support local programs that support victims of domestic violence and their families.

All items collected at the Beverly office, 10400 S. Western Ave. and the Mt. Greenwood Office, 3207 W. 111th St. from Nov. 15 until Dec. 15 will be donated to WINGS and A New Direction, a neighborhood based organization with a goal to help families break from the cycle of violence. WINGS operates a network of safe houses and transitional apartments and homes for victims of domestic violence and their families. Their resale shops are in need of donation drives like this to become fully stocked this winter.

The Beverly 19th Ward office is open daily from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and the Mt. Greenwood Office from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
