Community Meeting Called After Beverly Armed Robberies

Concerned residents will meet with community leaders at St. Barnabas Wednesday night after a recent wave of crime hit the neighborhood.

CHICAGO, IL - There's been a community meeting called to discuss numerous concerns Beverly residents have had over the last couple of days in regard to a report of armed robberies occurring throughout the neighborhood. 19th Ward Ald. Matt O'Shea says residents are invited to attend at the St. Barnabas Church basement, 10134 S. Longwood Drive at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 8.

O'Shea said in an email to ward residents on Tuesday that he was working with the Beverly Area Planning Association, the 22nd Police District and other local community groups" to develop a course of action to help address the many concerns of our neighbors."

"I encourage all residents to attend this meeting so we can work together to keep our community safe," he wrote.
