Cop On A Rooftop At Dunkin' Donuts In Mt. Greenwood

Police officers will raise money for Special Olympics from atop the Dunkin' Donuts location at 111th and Kedzie.

CHICAGO - Police will be sitting on top of Dunkin' Donuts shops in their community to raise money for Special Olympics Illinois athletes. The Illinois Law Enforcement Torch Run Cop On A Rooftop event runs from 5 a.m. to noon Friday, May 17.

In Mount Greenwood, police officers will be atop the Dunkin' Donuts at 3206 W. 111th St.

Other nearby participating Dunkin' Donuts locations in the city are at 6100 S. Western, 350 E. 103rd St. and 7921 S. Western.

Each guest who visits a Dunkin' Cop on a Rooftop location and makes a donation to the Illinois Law Enforcement Torch Run will receive a free classic donut coupon. Guests who donate at least $10 will receive an Illinois Law Enforcement Torch Run travel mug (while supplies last) and a coupon for a free medium hot coffee.

Last year, a mysterious anonymous donor in a Rolls Royce wrote out a check for $25,000 for Special Olympics at one of Palos Park PD's Cop On A Rooftop stakeouts.

More than 310 law enforcement agencies in Illinois plan to participate in Friday's Cop On A Rooftop events, with a goal of surpassing last year's total of more than $871,000 raised. Visit Special Olympics Illinois for a complete list of participating police departments and Dunkin Donuts locations.
