Cops Warn of Pepper-Spray Robber at South Side Pharmacies
Police say robber sprayed employees at Morgan Park and Calumet Park drug stores, then grabbed money from cash registers.

Police are cautioning businesses to beware of a robber armed with pepper spray working the neighborhood.
Two pharmacies were robbed in Calumet Park and Morgan Park, where a man walked up to the cashiers pretending to make a purchase. As the cashier opened the cash register, the alleged robber sprayed the employee in the face with pepper spray, according to a police community alert.
Police said the robber grabbed money from the open cash drawer, then fled the stores on foot. Both incidents occurred in the morning at the following times and locations:

- 8700 block of South Stony Island Avenue, approximately 10:11 a.m., Dec. 24, 2015 approximately 10:11 a.m.
- 11000 block of South Western Avenue, approximately 11 a.m. Jan. 15, 2016.
The alleged robber is described as a black man in his 30s, 5 ft. 7 inches and 6 ft. 2 inches tall, and weighed between 160 to 225 pounds. The man had a medium complexion and wore his hair in an afro.
