Gunshot Wounds Killed Man Found In Car On Walden Parkway: Coroner

The Cook County Medical Examiner's Office says 50-year-old Preston Griggs was shot multiple times in a homicide.

CHICAGO, IL - The man found shot to death in a car at 105th and Walden Parkway in the city's Beverly neighborhood on Monday has been identified. The Cook County Medical Examiner's Office has identified the man as Preston Teri Griggs, a 50-year old with a listed address in the 7300 block of South Maplewood Avenue in Chicago.

An autopsy held Tuesday indicates Griggs died of multiple gunshot wounds to the head. His death has been ruled a homicide.

Chicago police previously said the victim, now identified as Griggs, was found "unresponsive" in a green BMW around 11 a.m. on Monday with a gunshot wound to the cheek. RELATED: Body Found In Car At 105th And Walden Parkway
