Fall Starts With Marist Sports Camps For Grade School Students
Boys and girls in grades 5-8 can hone their skills in basketball and softball throughout October at Marist High School.

CHICAGO, IL – Marist High School’s boys’ basketball and girls’ softball programs will hold grade school camps in October. Grade school students will have the chance to work with Marist athletic coaches and hone their skills in boys basketball and girls softball. Marist is located at 4200 W. 115th St., Chicago.
New head boys' basketball coach Tim Trendel invites fifth through eighth grade boys to a fall camp Oct. 7, 8, and 10. (There is no camp on Oct. 9.) The camp will run from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. each night. Campers will work with Marist's coaching staff to improve skills, court awareness, and more. The cost is $60 per camper.
The boys basketball camp will hold its annual 3-on-3 tournament on Saturday, Oct. 20, featuring a fifth and sixth-grade division and a seventh and eighth-grade division. There will be a champion crowned for each. Check-in is at 3 p.m. Cost is $60 per team. Registration and details for both basketball events on the Marist website.

Softball coach Colleen Biebel '07 invites eighth grade girls to a series of fall clinics. Each of the three sessions will run from 5 to 6:30 p.m. On Tuesday, Oct. 9 the focus will be on infield and outfield skills. Pitchers and catchers are invited to the Thursday, Oct. 11 session, while the clinic on Monday, Oct. 15 will focus on hitting. The cost is $10 per session. Register in advance by shooting an email to Coach Biebel at biebel.colleen@marist.net. All players should meet at the varsity softball field at the northwest corner of campus.
