Family Dollar In Mt. Greenwood Will Become A Dollar Tree
The store at 110th and Kedzie will soon convert to a Dollar Tree as Family Dollar closes hundreds of its stores.

CHICAGO - The Family Dollar location at 110th and Kedzie in Mount Greenwood will soon close as a Dollar Tree opens at the spot. The location will be one of nearly 400 Family Dollar, which has 50 stores in Chicago, will close nationally.
Signs on the door of the shop at 11041 S. Kedzie Ave. have urged shoppers to visit nearby Family Dollar locations at 11810 S. Western Ave. and 12299 S. Pulaski Road.
A specific date for the change has not been made known. Other window signage at the store indicate "everything must go" and that refunds will no longer be accepted.

Family Dollar sells bargain goods including household cleaners, foods, health and beauty products, toys and clothes. Most items in the stores can be bought for less than $10. But the retailer has struggled in recent years and was bought by Dollar Tree in 2015. The chain of bargain brands has faced pressure to sell or revamp operations, CNN reported.
