Firewater Saloon Opens In Mt. Greenwood
Firewater Saloon is expected to open to the public Friday night.

CHICAGO, IL - Firewater Saloon will open to the public at 6 p.m. Friday night. The new Mount Greenwood bar that's taking over the building that was home to TR's Pub at 111th and Springfield for years held a soft opening for friends, family and public officials Thursday night.
The bar wasn't open Friday afternoon, but someone doing work on the exterior said it would be open to the public for the first time at 6 p.m. It's owned by the same ownership team who operates a bar by the same name in the Edison Park neighborhood on the North Side.
State Rep. Fran Hurley tweeted about the soft opening Thursday night and the Mount Greenwood Community and Business Association made a Facebook post about it. See below.
