'The Flower Guy' Cited For Selling Flowers At 111th/Pulaski
Jim Robb, a neighborhood staple at 111th and Pulaski, was cited for something he's done at the corner for years: sell flowers.

CHICAGO, IL — Anyone who has driven past 111th and Pulaski, right on the border of the city's Mount Greenwood neighborhood and suburban Oak Lawn, anytime over the last several years or even decades has likely come across a man locals know simply as "The Flower Guy."
Often standing in the middle of 111th Street just west of Pulaski, Jim Robb has made a living off selling flowers to passing motorists at the busy intersection. Many times he'll take breaks at the BP gas station on the Oak Lawn side of the border.
He was apparently out again, doing what he's done for years, this past Saturday. But at 8:15 p.m., he was cited by Chicago police officers. According to publicly available information, Robb was handed an official citation of flower peddling/peddler prohibited. The incident was first reported on the Mt. Greenwood Watch neighborhood page.

Robb was not out at the corner of 111th and Pulaski on Wednesday afternoon.
The Daily Southtown (then-Southtown Star) told Robb's story back in 2010 after his longtime presence on the corner went widespread on social media.
