Free Concert At Crescent Park Tonight
"Over The Side," a local West Beverly band, will perform country cover songs for neighborhood residents at Crescent Park.

CHICAGO, IL - A local band will perform a free show at Crescent Park in Beverly tonight. Hosted by the 19th Ward Foundation, the event will include "a great mix of country and classic rock covers," Ald. Matt O'Shea said in an email to ward residents.
The "Over The Side" band, with roots in West Beverly, will perform mostly country and alt-country covers at the park located at 2200 W. 108th Place.
Band member Mike Courtney, "MC Whiskey" in solo gigs, said those who show up might get lucky and hear some originals from the other two band members. John Quinn and Joe Pacelli, also members of South City Revival, will join Courtney on stage tonight beginning at 7 p.m. Over The Side's drummer is Jose “Pino” Perez of Mount Greenwood.

The South City Revival band is coming off a headliner performance at the Country On Western music festival held last weekend at Barney Callaghan's Pub.
"We'll mix it up and hope for a great turnout," Courtney said of Thursday night's planned show at Crescent Park. "The ward office asked us to do a show, which was nice, so we will run a setup and keep everything family-friendly."
