How to Follow SXU Women’s Basketball in the Final Four
A viewing party is planned at Gilhooley's Monday night for fans to cheer on the Cougars in the NAIA national semifinals.

CHICAGO, IL - The Saint Xavier University women’s basketball team has been an elite contender in the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics for years, but will be competing in the Final Four for the first time this week.
The Cougars have qualified for the NAIA National Tournament in 15 consecutive seasons, but it was not until Saturday night when they punched their first ticket to the Final Four in Sioux City, Iowa.
Fans and alums of SXU do not have to make the trip to Iowa to cheer on the Cougars, however. There are plenty of ways to keep up with the action from right at home in Chicago.

A viewing party is planned at Gilhooley’s Grande Saloon, 3901 W. 103rd St. in Chicago at 8 p.m. Monday night. The bar will show televised coverage of the Cougars’ semifinal game against Concordia University, Nebraska.
SXU advanced to the Final Four after a dominating 69-53 win over College of the Ozarks, Missouri in the Elite Eight round Saturday night. The team was led by junior center Brittany Collins who had 21 points and 23 rebounds. Collins, along with junior guard Kara Krolicki and senior guard Mikayla Leyden have been called “the big three” for SXU this season, leading the Cougars to an all-time best 33 wins. The team has only lost twice all season.
