Income-Eligible Chicagoans Can Apply For Furnace Repair Grants
The Emergency Heating Repair Program is now accepting applications for one-time furnacep-boiler repair grants from Nov. 1 through April 1.
CHICAGO — Chicago homeowners who meet income eligibility requirements can apply for one-time grants for emergency furnace or boiler repairs. The 2021-22 Emergency Heating Repair Program (EHRP) is now accepting applications from November 1, 2021 until April 1, 2022.
There are several ways that residents can apply for service:
- Call 311 and complete a service request which the Chicago Department of Housing will follow up (or call 312-744-3653 directly and request a mailed application)
- Go online to www.chicago.gov/ehrp and download an application package
- Completed application packages can be returned by:
- Mail: Department of Housing, City Hall, 121 N. LaSalle St., Room 1006
- Email to ehrp@cityofchicago.org. Subject Line: EHRP Application
With Chicago’s winter soon upon us, residents are encouraged to go online to download the application package.
