Jackie Robinson West All Stars Play for World Championship Sunday
South Siders from Morgan Park secure U.S. Championship Sunday with 7-5 victory over Nevada.

Chicago’s Jackie Robinson West All-Star team will face South Korea Sunday afternoon for the Little League World Series title.
The South Siders from Morgan Park beat the previously undefeated Las Vegas, Nevada, team, 7-5, in the U.S. Championship game on Saturday.
Sunday’s game will be broadcast live on ABC 7 at 2 p.m. Chicago time.

Another watch party will take place Sunday at the Kroc Center, 1250 W. 119th St. There will be a watch party downtown, as well, on State Street in front of the Chicago Theater.
This is the second time a Chicago team will play for the world championship. In 1967, a team from North Roseland played West Tokyo and lost.

A parade in the city of Chicago and a rally will take place Wednesday in Jackie Robinson West’s honor. Details have yet to be announced.
