Jackie Robinson West Falls to South Korea in LLWS Title Game, 8-4

The South Siders who captured the hearts of Chicago and the United States in their Little League World Series run to a U.S. Championship could not capture the world title on Sunday, falling four runs short to South Korea.

In the sixth inning, the Jackie Robinson West All Stars staged a rally and scored three runs, but the South Koreans kept the upper hand and shut down the rally by flipping a ground ball to second base for the final out.

The final score was 8-4. The team will be honored in Chicago with a parade on Wednesday.
