Kara Kares Fundraiser Is June 15 At Lawlor's Bar

CHICAGO - A fundraiser for the Kara Kares Foundation is planned at Lawlor's Bar in Mount Greenwood in the coming weeks. The foundation raises funds for a nursing scholarship at Saint Xavier University and was founded in memory of Kara McNicholas, an 18-year-old nursing student who was murdered in the city's Marquette Park neighborhood last year.
