Kara Kares Fundraiser Is Saturday At 115 Bourbon Street
Money raised from the event will support to Kara Kares Foundation, which is raising money for a nursing scholarship at SXU.

MERRIONETTE PARK, IL — Another fundraiser for the Kara Kares Foundation is planned for this weekend. Anyone available is welcome at 115 Bourbon Street from 6-10 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 17 to remember Karalynn McNicholas, the Mount Greenwood resident and Saint Xavier University nursing student who was murdered last year in the city's Chicago Lawn/Marquette Park neighborhood.
The fundraiser will include a DJ, split the pot, raffles and silent auctions. There will be a buffet, draft beer, wine, soda and dessert.
Tickets are $35 for adults 21 and older in advance and $20 for those under 21. At the door, tickets are going for $40 for adults and $25 for kids.
