“Local organizations have provided gift cards, sporting equipment and need items,” Kevin McNair, Leo’s director of admissions and recruitment. “We asked organizations to offer gift cards, sporting equipment or smaller items instead of the book bag donations they normally supply.”

Leo’s reach has already allowed for a connection with school age children who are have already received their supplies and backpacks for the 2023-24 school year. More will be available Saturday.

“We are thankful to the local organizations working with us to provide our community with the resources they need to be successful,” said Shaka Rawls, Leo’s principal.
