Local Food Pantry Makes Pitch For 'Thanksgiving Meals Appeal'
The Maple Morgan Pantry is hosting a food drive Wednesday, Sept. 29, to collect foodstuffs for Thanksgiving dinners.
CHICAGO — The Maple Morgan Park Food Pantry serves the entire 19th Ward community, and they need residents' help. This Wednesday, Sept. 29, the food pantry will be holding a contactless, drive-thru food drive from noon to 3 p.m. The pantry is located in the basement of the Morgan Park United Methodist Church, 11030 S. Longwood Drive, Chicago.
Before the COVID-19 pandemic, the pantry provided assistance to 500 to 600 families per month, that number has nearly tripled to 1,500 families per month. Please consider supporting this important community institution, allowing them to assist the less fortunate in Beverly, Morgan Park, Mount Greenwood, Washington Heights, and West Pullman.
Food donations will be used for Thanksgiving dinners.
