Marist Alumnus Named 'Top Scholar-Athlete' at University of Jamestown

Oak Lawn's Patrick Nelson recognized for academic excellence on and off the field by North Star Athletic Association.

Patrick Nelson, of Oak Lawn. was awarded the academic excellence as as a Top Scholar-Athlete award by the North Star Athletic Association. The North Star Athletic Association Top-Scholar award recognizes students who have shown academic excellence on and off the field. To qualify for this award, students must maintain a 3.25 grade point average on a 4.0 scale.

Nelson is a graduate of Marist High School, who now plays catcher for the Jamestown Jimmies baseball teach.
