Marist-Brother Rice Football Game Is Friday

The Battle of Pulaski returns Friday night. Here's what to know ahead of the yearly rivalry game between Marist and Brother Rice.

CHICAGO, IL - Bragging rights in the neighborhood and nearby suburbs are at stake once again Friday night as the "Battle of Pulaski" returns to Brother Rice's Gary Little Stadium. The visiting Marist RedHawks will look to take down the host Brother Rice Crusaders in the traditional season-opening game for both teams.

The stands are expected to be packed on both sides for the tilt, which over the last five decades has often pitted grammar school teammates against one another. Families of local parishes are at odds as eighth grade boys are often put in the position to choose between the two schools.
