Marist High School Presents Trio of Holiday Concerts

Marist High School's string ensemble, chorus and band will each present concerts featuring sounds of the season.

CHICAGO, IL -- Marist High School will present a trio of holiday concerts featuring the string ensemble, chorus and band to set the mood for the holiday season. Community members are welcome. Marist is located at 4200 West 115th St., Chicago.

The string group will perform at 7 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 30 in the high school chapel. The group will perform several holiday arrangements. Starting at 7 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 7, in the school’s RedHawk Theater. The chorus will present a variety of holiday classics. Both concerts are free. Enter at the main office entrance at the west end of campus.

Marist’s band will hold its annual Christmas concerts on Saturday, Dec. 9, at 7 p.m. and Sunday, Dec. 10, at 3 p.m. in the main gym. The group will perform pieces ranging from the operatic “O Fortuna” to a mix of thrilling Christmas standards, with some jazz thrown for good measure. Tickets for the Christmas band concert are $5 and will be sold at the main gym doors.
