Marist Seniors Sign To Play Football at Princeton, EIU
Marist's Brent Holder and Darshon McCullough signed letters of intent to continue academic and athletic careers at collegiate level.

Marist High School seniors Brent Holder and Darshon McCullough participated in a National Letter of Intent signing ceremony on Wednesday. The two football players signed to continue their academic and athletic careers at the collegiate level.
Holder, of West Beverly, , a team captain and offensive lineman, will attend and play for Princeton University in New Jersey. The school competes in the Ivy League. McCullough, of South Holland, a team captain and running back, committed to Division I Eastern Illinois University. Both had impressive seasons, contributing in big ways to the RedHawks’ post-season run that ended with a second in state trophy in Class 8A

“I am so proud of these guys,” said Coach Pat Dunne, a 1998 alumni of the school. “They have worked hard in the classroom and on the field, and it’s exciting to see them take it to the next level. I know they will both do well. They are great representatives of Marist football.”
Several more seniors are still in the process of choosing where to attend and play, and plan on signing in the coming weeks.

“We had a great group of seniors,” Dunne said. “I’m excited to find out everyone’s final decisions about college. We’re proud to have so many of our student-athletes move on to the collegiate level.”
Marist football will open up its 2016 season against Brother Rice High School at Soldier Field on Aug. 27 at 7 p.m.
