Matt O'Shea Will Fill Your Gas Tank Feb. 23 at Kean Bros. for 'Get Behind the Vest'
Kean Bros. is donating 5-cents for every gallon of gas sold this week to 'Get Behind the Vest,' featuring celebrity pumper Ald. Matt O'Shea.

CHICAGO, IL -- Need gas? Fill ‘er up this Thursday, Feb. 23, from 3 to 6 p.m., when Ald. Matt O’Shea (19th) and Illinois State Police Director Leo Schmitz will be pumping gas atKean Bros. Gas Station to help raise funds for Get Behind the Vest.
Throughout the week, Kean located at 2632 W 111th St., Chicago, will donate 5 cents for every gallon of gasoline sold through Feb. 25. These funds will be generously matched dollar for dollar by Beverly Bank and Trust, Althletex Sports ad Ortho Physical Therapy in Oak Lawn, representing a total of 15 cents for every gallon purchased.
Get Behind the Vest purchases bullet resistant vests for the men and women of the Chicago Police Department. Ideally, the vests must be replaced every five years at a $500 cost, which comes out of the police officer’s own pocket.

Then get ready for Sunday when the third annual Get Behind the Vest Pancake Breakfast at St. John Fisher School, 10200 S. Washtenaw Ave. The breakfast kicks off from 8 a.m. to noon, Feb. 26.
